Graystar is a polite, fair, and caring tom who only wants the best for his Clan. He has always been one to say that he'd rather talk then fight and at time he acts noble and wise even though he isn't that old at all. In battle, when he must fight to protect his Clan, he fights to the end, but uses wits rather than brute force to usually beat a cat and usually dodges attacks at the beginning rather then fight a cat off. With his Clan, like said earlier, he is fair and would only give a harsh punishment when absolutely needed. He thinks of others before himself and would happily and without hesitation put himself and his lives in the face of death to protect any member of his Clan and at times, even those outside his Clan. If another Clan needs help, he will not hesitate at all to spring forward and offer his Clans help.

Graystar's name says his description pretty dang well. Graystar is literally colorless, gray being his main and only color. His pelt is long and shaggy. His pelt is also a very dark gray, but has stripes and spots of lighter gray here and there. With his pelt, he can blend in very well to the surroundings at night especially, but also in the shadows of day when he does need to hide. The bottom of his paws, the part that is usually face down on the ground, is a pure white color. His eyes are something that can be a bit weird for usually a cats eye has color that expresses their personality and thoughts. However, his do not. They are a dark gray that matches his pelt, but when the sunlight reaches down on them, they brighten into a lighter gray, almost whitish color.

History:

Kithood

As a kit, Graykit was never really interested in the affairs of the warriors or leaders, but rather spent most of his time around his sister Cherrykit. He really liked her and spent every moment he could with her. The two of them could usually be found in the nursery, playing together though they rarely ever play-fought for both of them were against it. His mother, Honeysuckle, was a warrior WindClan though, but they never knew that even though everyone else in the Clan had. Their father, Ashclaw usually kept them away from the gaze of other cats for he didn't want them to feel like they were not wanted, all the tom ever wanted was for his kits to grow up happy together.

Apprenticehood

At the age of 6 moons, like any other kit they were made into apprentices. His mentor had been a she-cat named Snowheart who ended up dieing in battle not long after he was made a warrior. Even though he was against fighting, he trained as hard as any apprentice would and learned how to so he could serve his Clan. I was when he and Cherrypaw were 10 moons old that they learned the truth of their blood and about the stares that other cats often gave them, as if they were hated. Their father was dieing of a terrible disease he had picked up some place even though no other cat had gotten it. It was then that Ashclaw told his kits who their mother was and that they had to continue forward and prove their loyalty. Graypaw had understood this without any reason not to, but his sister didn't feel the same.

Warriorhood

His life as a warrior was when everything changed on him. The night after their warrior ceremony, Cherryblossom had told him that she was leaving. She had waited to gain her warrior name so that when she faced her mother in WindClan she could show herself as a warrior. Graysight didn't know what to say, but let her go. There was no reason for him to object, since it was her decision but he worried for her in the Clan that she was planning to go to. WindClan had always stirred fear in him and as he watched his sister leave, he hoped and prayed to StarClan that she'd be alright. However, long after, when Graysight and the rest of ShadowClan was forced into a fight against WindClan. As he pinned down one of the warriors, he asked them if there was a cat named Cherryblossom in the Clan, but the warrior gave him the news that he never wanted to hear, "Cherryblossom was killed on site because she was from an enemy Clan and her mother, Honeysuckle also died for mating outside the Clan." Graysight had been so shocked that he accidentally killed the warrior. However, during that fight, he noticed that the deputy was having trouble fighting off some cats and tried to help him, bu the deputy ended up dieing. After the deputy fell, Graysight noticed the leader at the time have the same problem and went to help and and with anger pulsing through him yet from the memory of his sister and now for the deputy he managed to help the leader drive the cats away from their territory. That night at moonhigh, the leader announced Graysight as deputy at the age of 36 moons.

Deputyship and Leadership

His deptuyship didn't last long for by the time he became deputy, the leader was on the brink of death. The leader was very old, almost 144 moons (12 years) and he was on his last life. When Graysight was 40 moons, the leader before him finally passed away to join StarClan and Graysight became Graystar. He was troubled afterward, trying to keep the Clan together and for the next five moons, he tried his best to keep his Clan out of any battles or wars that might have threatened his Clan, but he was successful, for now.

Graystar padded through his territory, a feeling of pride tingling through his pelt as he remembered who was to his Clan and what he meant. He was happy to be able to search them this way, maybe he had brought pride to his father even though Ashclaw had mated outside his Clan. Maybe his father was looking down at him from behind the light blue sheet that was called the sky. Maybe Ashclaw was drifting on a white puffy cloud with his mother and his sister as they watched him travel through his territory. I hope I can make you three proud of me. I hope...I hope I can serve the Clan and then join you in eternal peace in the ranks of StarClan besides all the other leaders of ShadowClan before me that died after their service was done. He smiled and looking at the trees, nodded to himself and padded forward, diappearing into the depths of the forest.
